The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants two is a 2008 American comedy-drama film and a sequel to the 2005 motion-picture show The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. The original cast (Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera, Blake Lively and Alexis Bledel) return to star in the film. It was directed by Sanaa Hamri and written by Elizabeth Chandler, who wrote the previous film. The flick is based upon the fourth novel in the volume series: Forever in Blue (2007), but incorporates scenes and storylines from The Second Summer of the Sisterhood (2003) and Girls in Pants (2004).[2]

Tibby drives to Vermont, hoping for Carmen'south support, only leaves subsequently the two argue over who ignores the other more. She goes to Brian's house and apologizes, confessing that she had been agape dealing with modify. Realizing that he still loves Tibby, Brian breaks upward with Effie.
Carmen attends an actor workshop in Vermont, prompted by young man Yale student and friend Julia. During auditions for The Wintertime'southward Tale, Ian, an actor, encourages Carmen to try out. When her female parent Christina goes into labor early, Carmen reconciles with Tibby and asks her to help. Ian comforts Carmen and reveals that he only agreed to get out with Julia because she begged him. Carmen overhears Julia tell Bill to supercede her saying Carmen doesn't have what information technology takes, but he refuses. Carmen regains her confidence, performs successfully, and kisses Ian later the play. While packing to leave, she chastises Julia for her backstabbing actions and ends their friendship.
Effie, upset with Brian breaking up with her and how Lena seems to love her friends more than her own sis, steals the Pants and loses them in Hellenic republic while visiting her grandmother. Bridget, Lena, Tibby, and Carmen disagree over whether the Pants are worth saving, and so Lena travels to Greece herself to look for them. After learning from Effie that Lena refused to take Kostas dorsum when he visited her in Rhode Island, the other three girls follow - Carmen's stepdad gives the girls his frequent flier miles that are almost to expire - to help search for the Pants and convince Lena to give Kostas a second chance. Lena sees Kostas and he says he has a place to report at the London School of Economic science, merely they part. Later on, Lena looks for Kostas on his boat and the ii kiss. Although they practice not find the Pants, the summer ends in Greece with the four friends renewing their mutual commitment to each other.

Production [edit]
Principal photography started on the island of Santorini, Hellenic republic in Oia and continued in Connecticut. Western Connecticut Land University was used for the scenes of Lena at the Rhode Island Schoolhouse of Design campus. Tibby's scenes were filmed in New York City.[3]

On Rotten Tomatoes, the picture show has a 65% approval rating based on 98 reviews with an average rating of half dozen/x. A film based on the book sequel to The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, had been announced and it was produced by Blend Entertainment.[8] [9] [10] However equally of 2020 there has been no update nigh this possible sequel.
